Well, today is my birthday, I'm 24!

... I wish I had more to say, especially since it's been so long since I made a post, but oh well.
If anybody wants to keep up on what I'm doing, I spend most of my time in the Ubuntu community doing misc. stuff, mostly updating the gmpc-trunk ppa. You can see my micro-blog posts at http://identi.ca/ripps.

It's been a while since I mentioned anything about the my Dust Cold theme on Livejournal, so I decided to post an update.

Resynced Dust Cold with Dust from bazaar branch. Now at version 0.4.0. Lots of changes, go take a look.

Synced Dustfox Cold with Dustfox from bazaar branch. No longet need to keep seperate versions for firefox-3.0 and firefox-3.1.

Added Nodoka Dust Cold. My version of the Nodoka Dust theme, it's very pretty and I fixed a couple issues the original Nodoka Dust had (e.g. Evolution new button). You'll need to use the git version of the Nodoka engine. I've built packages for that in my PPA:

Created Launchpad bazaar branches for Dust Cold and Dustfox Cold, so you guys don't have to wait until I upload a package to Gnome-Look.org anymore.

I'm trying to help out new users upgrading to Jaunty in the #ubuntu IRC chatroom. But, man, is it busy. The most annoying thing is the people who get rude with the volunteers who are just trying to help.

Finally, Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope is released.
I've been using it for months now, since it was in Alpha. But I have to say, Jaunty is probably the fastest and cleanest version of Ubuntu yet. Everything works great.

Well, I've been downgraded from a Paid account to a Plus account. I decided not to buy it this year because I simply don't have the money to pay for a service a barely use. I just wish I could've chosen which userpics to keep. A couple have become invalid, particularily the one's I made myself. Instead of the one's that I actually use, I get to keep the south park and matrix userpics that I've used only once.

I'm now the proud owner of the GMPC Trunk team on Launchpad.net.
Feel free to use the PPA to install the latest version of GMPC and it's plugins.

If you don't know what GMPC is, it's a graphical client for the greatest music playing app in linux, MPD.

Y'know, I'm actually having a pretty nice day today.
So I can't say I suffer from paraskevidekatriaphobia.

I remember when I was a teenager, I was playing football in PhyEd (coed). I was playing defense and blocking anybody who got through. But since I was really big and heavy, nobody could get past me or knock me down. One girl was playing quarterback, she was really fast (I think she played soccer), and she tried to get past me. I, of course, blocked her way. She tried to push me out of the way, that didn't work very well, I was like double her weight (at least). So her next try was to make me stumble and fall. While she was try to side swipe my legs, she somehow managed to break her own leg. She was in crutches for months.

The saddest thing is, she was always really nice to me after that. But I blamed myself for her broken leg, so whenever I saw her, I would never talk to her because I felt so guilty. She was kind of cute, and not many girls ever tried to associate with me, but she did, but I wouldn't because of some silly accident. Today, I kinda regret not trying to know her better now.

USB-Powered Breast Warmers

Because, god knows, we can't let them get too cold. What would we do if they got frostbite!

On a side note: If any ladies are looking for an analog breast warmer, I am more than happy to assist.

Internet went out a little under two days ago, and I've just now got it back. I was already getting shakes from the withdrawl.
